Our mission is to broaden the conversation to include the diverse voices from throughout the globe making significant contributions to food culture. All-Star Culinary Bash

Our James Beard Foundation (JBF) Awards Pre-Party that celebrates JBF Recognized Chefs of Color around the awards festivities taking place in Chicago. This late-night party kicks off the JBF Awards weekend, which is colloquially known as “The Oscars of Food” with free flowing wine, spirits, and culinary offerings by some of the country’s most trailblazing chefs, including representation from the JBF Awards nominees slate. Food enthusiasts have the opportunity to meet, interact with, and enjoy exceptional cuisine from these leading chefs.
Small bites and spirits curated by culinary trailblazers followed by an intimate, moderated panel discussion with thought leaders on hot topics driven by culinary culture. Hosted in partnership with FISHER & PAYKEL at their Midtown Manhattan state-of-the-art test kitchen and show room, IDE transcends the celebration of diversity in the restaurant industry to create discussions pertinent to the larger culinary landscape.

Four chefs UNDER 30 from four regions of the United States selected by influential members of the restaurant community. Accompanied by, free flowing wine and spirits, guests will get to interact with these rising stars that will showcase their culinary offerings at this intimate event.
The James Beard House
The James Beard House is the former home of the iconic late James Beard who is also known as the Dean of American Cookery. The James Beard Foundation is a non-profit professional organization whose purpose is to honor and celebrate the finest chefs, wine professionals, food authors and food journalists. The Foundation preserved the late James Beard’s home and invites notable chefs to cook in the kitchen. Outside of receiving a James Beard Award, which is known as The Oscars of food, being invited to cook at The James Beard House is among one of the finest honors a chef can receive.
