CHEF NINA COMPTON
Chef Nina Compton is a native of St. Lucia. After graduating from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, Nina began her professional journey at Daniel in New York City, working and learning alongside Daniel Boulud and Alex Lee. After moving to Miami, she had the privilege of working alongside South Florida’s top toques including Norman Van Aken at Norman’s and Philippe Ruiz at Palmed’Or. Eventually, Chef Compton was recruited to Casa Casuarina, in Miami Beach where she rose from Sous Chef to Executive Chef of the exclusive, highly-acclaimed restaurant. Chef Compton was subsequently lured to Scarpetta in Miami Beach where she rose to Chef de Cuisine. In addition to these accolades, Chef Compton was runner up and voted “Fan Favorite” on Season 11 of Bravo's Top Chef. As a result of her success she has become St. Lucia's first culinary ambassador, where she promotes not only the island's beauty but also it's cuisine.
