WHY SHE IS AMAZING: While Chef de Cuisine at Bar Marco she made a name for herself nationally, cooking inventive Ameri-kinda-Mediterranean-ish food and led the restaurant to a nomination for Best New Restaurant 2013 by Bon Appetit. Since then, she has been recognized by the James Beard Foundation as a 2015 Rising Star Chef Semifinalist, 2016 Star Chefs Rising Star; Rust Belt and was honored as Best Chefs America’s Rising Star Chef. Jamilka is currently the Executive Chef of Spoon.
