WHY HE IS AMAZING: After graduating from Yale, Karl worked ten years in the marketing, brand management, operations, and innovation departments of Procter & Gamble and Pepsi-Cola North America. While at Pepsi working in innovation and searching for inspiration for new beverage concepts Karl sought out and began collaborating with top mixologists in NYC. He immediately fell in love with the artistry, craft, and historical perspective they employed. Since then, Karl has opened 67 Orange Street as well as Solomon and Kuff’s Rum Hall in Harlem. He recently re-opened the iconic Anchor Bar in New Haven, CT. His establishments have received rave reviews from the NY Times, NY Post, and NY Magazine. Karl has also been honored as one of FOX Business’ Young Guns and by Black Enterprise Magazine.
