WHY HE IS AMAZING: After receiving a dual-degree in Business Administration and Sports Management, Edouardo enrolled in culinary school. His restaurant, Salare takes influences from France, Italy, the American south, and the Caribbean and has become one of Seattle’s hottest restaurants. It was listed as a Best New Restaurant in America in 2016 by Eater National. Edouardo was nominated for a James Beard Foundation Best Chef: Northwest Award in 2016 and 2017 and was named one of Food & Wine’s Best New Chef of 2016. His newest venture Junebaby which opens this year will tell the story of his ancestors and will focus on ingredients that are indigenous to the southern parts of the United States and shaped it’s culinary history such as corn, peas, rice, pork, squash and grains.
