Alisha is currently an Advanced Sommelier and is studying to sit for the Master Sommelier examination. When she became a Certified Sommelier she received the 2015 Walter Clore Certified Sommelier Scholarship for attaining a top score and she also received the Certified Specialist of Wine certification through the Society of Wine Educators with a 99% score. In 2018, Feast Magazine named her a “Rising Star” and she was included in Wine Enthusiast Magazine’s “Top 40 Under 40 Tastemakers”. Additionally, is a recently became a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier International. Blackwell-Calvert is currently developing a business in private wine consulting. Her judging credentials include the Texsom International Awards and the National Mead Crafters Competition.
