Bacchanalia / W.H. Stiles Fish Camp (Atlanta) (she / her / hers)

Faye “Poon” Poonsiripukdeekul’s career has been defined by her commitment to investing in her education. Before migrating to the United States from Thailand, Poon worked as a legal associate in Bangkok but quickly realized law was not her passion and enrolled in Bangkok’s Wandee Culinary Art School. She worked at several restaurants in Bangkok then migrated to the US to attend The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park. Upon graduation, she relocated to Atlanta to join the Star Provisions group as a line cook at their renowned restaurant, Bacchanalia. There, Poon worked under the tutelage of the James Beard Award-winning chef Anne Quatrano. Poon credits Anne as her primary mentor and inspiration. She was later promoted to sous chef at Bacchanalia’s sister restaurant, W.H. Stiles Fish Camp, located in Ponce City Market. Two years later Poon was promoted to Executive Chef. Poon also served as Executive Chef at another Star Provisions restaurant, Floataway Cafe before it shuttered after 25 years of serving Atlanta diners serving rustic French-Italian dishes. Poon also serves as the developing chef at Star Provisions, where she and Anne Quatrano collaborate to offer Atlanta diners exciting new dishes. Poon is dedicated to sharing her Thai heritage through her cooking and was a 2023 StarChefs Atlanta Rising Stars Award Winner.
